Oscar Piovosi's pictorial poetics focuses mainly on the representation of that invisible state of absence in a dimension of the everyday that borders on the elsewhere. Moments of a story that is no longer and is not yet, suspended in non-places in which human thought and soul become protagonists. Lightning-fast amazements, pensive restlessness, even overthinking are the characters to whom bodies and figures give form and substance. A metaphysics of the visible and the everyday which, far from any narrative or literary temptation, transforms painting into an evocative and suggestive tool to represent that which is otherwise impossible to grasp.
